Malaysia natural rubber production increased by 1.0 per
cent
in July 2026
Natural Rubber (NR) production reported an increase of 1.0 per cent in July 2026 (26,817 tonnes) as compared to June 2026 (26,553 tonnes). Year-on-year comparison showed that the production of NR decreased by 25.3 per cent (July 2025: 35,884 tonnes). Production of NR in July 2026 for Malaysia was mainly contributed by smallholders (87.6%) as compared to estates (12.4%).
Total stocks of NR in July 2026 decreased by 0.7 per cent to 128,946 tonnes as compared to 129,836 tonnes in June 2026. Rubber processors factory contributed 77.8 per cent of the stocks followed by rubber consumers factory (22.0%) and rubber estates (0.2%).
Exports of Malaysia's NR amounted to 41,241 tonnes in July 2026, increased by 6.2 per cent as against June 2026 (38,821 tonnes). P.R. China remained as the main destination for NR exports which accounted 45.2 per cent of total exports in July 2026 followed by Germany (14.4%), the United States of America (9.1%), the United Arab Emirates (6.4%) and Brazil (3.3%). Meanwhile, the exports performance by NR-based product mainly contributed by rubber gloves with a value of RM1.7 billion in July 2026, an increase of 20.4 per cent as compared to June 2026 (RM1.4 billion).
In term of the average monthly price showed that concentrated latex recorded RM7.25 per kilogram in July 2026 as compared to RM7.36 per kilogram in June 2026 (-1.5%). Meanwhile scrap recorded the average monthly price 753.23 sen per kilogram in July 2026 as compared to 792.76 sen per kilogram in June 2026 (-5.0%). The World Bank Commodity Price Data reported the prices July for TSR 20 (Technically Specified Rubber) was USD2.14/kg has decreased 4.9 per cent from USD2.25/kg and SGP/MYS (Singapore/Malaysia) was USD2.78/kg has decreased 2.8 per cent from USD2.86/kg in previous month.
