Malaysia natural rubber production increased by 9.1 per
cent
in May 2026
Total stocks of NR in May 2026 decreased by 6.2 per cent to 122,658 tonnes as compared to 130,698 tonnes in April 2026. Rubber processors factory contributed 77.8 per cent of the stocks followed by rubber consumers factory (22.0%) and rubber estates (0.2%).
Exports of Malaysia's NR amounted to 28,741 tonnes in May 2026, decreased by 23.1 per cent as against April 2026 (37,360 tonnes). P.R. China remained as the main destination for NR exports which accounted 42.7 per cent of total exports in May 2026 followed by Germany (14.6%), the United States of America (11.2%), Turkiye (4.3%) and India (3.8%). The exports performance was contributed by NR-based product such as rubber gloves, tyre, tube and rubber thread. Rubber gloves were the main exports of rubber-based products with a value of RM1.2 billion in May 2026, a decrease of 14.1 per cent as compared to April 2026 (RM1.4 billion).
In term of the average monthly price showed that concentrated latex recorded 763.16 sen per kilogram in May 2026 as compared to 754.69 sen per kilogram in April 2026 (+1.1 per cent). Meanwhile scrap recorded the average monthly price 747.78 sen per kilogram in May 2026 as compared to 691.26 sen per kilogram in April 2026 (+8.2 per cent). The World Bank Commodity Price Data reported the prices May for TSR 20 (Technically Specified Rubber) was USD2.21/kg has increased 7.3 per cent from USD2.06/kg and SGP/MYS (Singapore/Malaysia) was USD2.69/kg has increased 7.2 per cent from USD2.51/kg in previous month.
