Malaysia natural rubber production increased by 31.5 per cent
in June 2026

Natural Rubber (NR) production increased by 31.5 per cent in June 2026 (26,553 tonnes) as compared to May 2026 (20,198 tonnes). Year-on-year comparison showed that the production of NR increased by 1.2 per cent (June 2025: 26,249 tonnes). Production of NR in June 2026 for Malaysia was mainly contributed by smallholders (88.7%) as compared to estates (11.3%).

Total stocks of NR in June 2026 increased by 5.2 per cent to 129,524 tonnes as compared to 123,149 tonnes in May 2026. Rubber processors factory contributed 77.8 per cent of the stocks followed by rubber consumers factory (22.1%) and rubber estates (0.1%).

Exports of Malaysia's NR amounted to 38,862 tonnes in June 2026, increased by 35.2 per cent as against May 2026 (28,742 tonnes). P.R. China remained as the main destination for NR exports which accounted 55.8 per cent of total exports in June 2026 followed by Germany (11.5%), the United States of America (6.7%), Turkiye (3.1%) and India (3.1%). The exports performance was contributed by NR-based product such as rubber gloves, tyre, tube and rubber thread. Rubber gloves were the main exports of rubber-based products with a value of RM1.4 billion in June 2026, an increase of 19.7 per cent as compared to May 2026 (RM1.2 billion).

In term of the average monthly price showed that concentrated latex recorded 735.82 sen per kilogram in June 2026 as compared to 763.16 sen per kilogram in May 2026 (-3.6%). Meanwhile scrap recorded the average monthly price 792.76 sen per kilogram in June 2026 as compared to 747.78 sen per kilogram in May 2026 (+6.0%). The World Bank Commodity Price Data reported the prices June for TSR 20 (Technically Specified Rubber) was USD2.25/kg has increased 1.8 per cent from USD2.21/kg and SGP/MYS (Singapore/Malaysia) was USD2.86/kg has increased 6.3 per cent from USD2.69/kg in previous month.

The performance of the second quarter of 2026 showed natural rubber production decreased by 8.1 per cent to 65,266 tonnes as compared to 71,013 tonnes in the first quarter of 2025. The annual performance of Malaysia's natural rubber production in the second quarter of 2026 recorded a decrease of 4.7 per cent as compared to the second quarter 2025 (68,513 tonnes).
