Overview

The Volume Index of Services continued to record positive growth of 5.9 per cent, reaching 170.1 points in the second quarter of 2026. This performance was driven by growth in the Wholesale & retail trade, Food & beverage and Accommodation segment (5.3%), followed by the Information & communication and Transportation & storage segment (7.6%), the Business Services and Finance segment (5.2%), and the Other services segment (7.3%).

For quarter-on-quarter comparison, The Volume Index of Services increased by 1.3 per cent in the second quarter of 2026. This growth was supported by increases in the Wholesale & retail trade, Food & beverage and Accommodation segment (1.4%), the Information & communication and Transportation & storage (1.8%), Business Services & Finance segment (0.9%), and Other services  segments (0.4%).

Meanwhile, the Seasonally Adjusted Volume Index for this sector recorded an increase of 0.9 per cent to reach 169.5 points in the second quarter of 2026.
