Overview

“Malaysian affiliates’ turnover grew 8.3% to RM371.9 billion in 2024”

A total of 2,413 Malaysian affiliates abroad generated a turnover of RM371.9 billion in 2024, an increase of 8.3 per cent compared to the previous year.

Services remained the main contributing sector with a turnover of RM252.1 billion, followed by Manufacturing and Mining & quarrying.

Major countries contributed to the turnover were Indonesia (RM68.9 billion), Viet Nam (RM38.1 billion) and Singapore (RM29.1 billion).

Malaysian affiliates abroad employed a total of 433,801 persons with paid compensation of employees at RM27.1 billion increased by 6.3 per cent as compared to RM25.5 billion in the previous year.
