Overview

In 2025, access to ICT services and equipment for computers and the Internet recorded slight increases of 0.4 and 0.3 percentage points, rising to 92.6 per cent (2024: 92.4%) and 97.1 per cent (2024: 96.8%), respectively. Meanwhile, pay TV channel showed a notable decline of 5.1 percentage points to 62.0 per cent (2024: 67.1%). Fixed line telephone also recorded a decrease of 0.3 percentage points to 27.6 per cent (2024: 27.9%). Access to other equipment such as mobile phones, radio and television recorded the highest percentages, remaining unchanged at 99.5 per cent compared with the previous year.


Internet access among households in urban areas increased by 0.2 percentage points to 99.0 per cent (2024: 98.8%), while households in rural areas also recorded an increase in Internet access of 0.4 percentage points to 90.7 per cent (2024: 90.3%).

Mobile phone usage by individuals increased by 0.1 percentage points to 99.6 per cent in 2025 as compared to 99.5 per cent in 2024.

Internet usage also increased by 0.3 percentage points to 98.3 percent as compared to 98.0 per cent during the same period.

Computer usage recorded the highest increase of 0.8 percentage points to 81.5 per cent as compared to 80.7 per cent in the previous year.

A comparison by sex shows that Internet usage among males recorded a higher percentage at 98.7 per cent compared with females, which is 97.8 per cent in 2025. The difference between the two sexes widened to 0.9 percentage points in 2025 compared with 0.8 percentage points in the previous year.
