Job Offering Advertised Online, Second Quarter of 2026

The number of online job offerings advertised in the second quarter of 2026 decreased by 11.4 per cent to 555,509.

Job Offering Advertised Online for Major Group Occupation

Online job offerings were concentrated in the Professional category, accounting for 51.5 per cent or 285,907 job offerings in the second quarter of 2026, compared with 315,768 job offerings recorded in the first quarter of 2026. Managers category recorded 87,950 job offerings, followed by Technicians and Associate Professionals with 86,512 job offerings. Higher demand was observed for Advertising and Marketing Professionals (40,640 job offerings), followed by Managing Directors and Chief Executives (26,649 job offerings), Administrative Associate Professionals (23,984 job offerings), Accountants and Auditors (22,067 job offerings) and Software Developers (19,899 job offerings).

Job Offering Advertised Online for Economic Activities

The Services sector continued to dominate, accounting for 43.9 per cent or 243,896 job offerings in the second quarter of 2026, down from 78.8 per cent in the first quarter of 2026. The Wholesale and Retail Trade; Repair of Motor Vehicles and Motorcycles subsector recorded the highest number of job offerings within the Services sector, at 78,526 job offerings, followed by Professional, Scientific and Technical Activities (32,127 job offerings), Administrative and Support Service Activities (28,788 job offerings), Accommodation and Food Service Activities (20,629 job offerings), and Financial and Insurance/Takaful Activities (20,593 job offerings).
