Job Market Insights and My Job Profile are quarterly releases based on job offering advertised online by popular private recruitment websites. This report contain key information on job offering by major group occupation and economic activities. These statistics should be interpreted with caution due to their limitations, as they do not represent the entire population of job offering in Malaysia.

Job Offering Advertised Online, Fourth Quarter 2024

The number of online job offerings advertised in the fourth quarter of 2024 declined by 8.3 per cent to 276,624, compared with 301,623 job offerings in the third quarter of 2024. The number of companies advertising job offerings in the fourth quarter of 2024 was 47,741, compared with 62,091 companies in the third quarter of 2023.

Job Offering Advertised Online for Major Group Occupation

Nearly half of the online job offerings were concentrated in the Professionals category, accounting for 48.2 per cent or 133,206 job offerings in the fourth quarter of 2024, compared with 145,049 job offerings in the third quarter of 2024. In terms of occupational categories, Managers recorded 47,340 job offerings, followed by Technicians and Associate Professionals with 44,967 job offerings. Higher demand was observed for Advertising and Marketing Professionals (23,823 job offerings), Administrative Associate Professionals (13,148 job offerings), Managing Directors and Chief Executives (11,442 job offerings), as well as Accountants & Auditors (9,422 job offerings) and Public Relations Professionals (8,372 job offerings).

Job Offering Advertised Online for Economic Activities

Most job offerings by economic activity in the fourth quarter were in the Services sector, which accounted for 48.6 per cent or 134,546 job offerings. The Wholesale & Retail Trade sector recorded the highest number of job offerings at 33,974. Meanwhile the Administrative & Support Service Activities sector registered 25,633 job offerings, followed by Professional, Scientific and Technical Activities with 19,370 job offerings, Financial and Insurance/Takaful Activities with 12,810 job offerings and Manufacturing with 12,610 job offerings
