                                                              The  production  of  rice  and  paddy  increased

                          2020by State, 2020                  On  the  other  hand,  declines  were  registered  by
                                                              productions  of  both  commodities  in  2019  at
                                                              10.8 per cent. The decline in paddy’s production was
                                                              attributed  to  Kedah  (-96.6  ‘000  tonnes,  -10.1%),
                                                              Kelantan  (-50.9 ‘000  tonnes,  -15.9%)  and Sarawak
                                                              (-49.9  ‘000  tonnes,  -18.8%).  For  rice’s  production,
                                                              Kedah  lead  by  a  fall  of  62.8  ‘000  tonnes  (-10.1%),
                                                              followed by Kelantan (-33.1 ‘000 tonnes, -15.9% and

                                                              Sarawak (-29.9 ‘000 tonnes, -18.8%).
