Six (6) agenda items were discussed by the commission, including data and indicators for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, data stewardship, statistical commission working methods, regional statistical development, population and housing censuses, civil registration, vital statistics and statelessness statistics.
Over 600 delegates from all over the world gathered today to share their excellent ideas, experiences and recommendations for improving global statistics systems. Malaysia's delegation has contributed verbally and in the conversation for all of the day's agenda topics. For the second time, the Bureau members and the worldwide statistical community have successfully conducted the apex commission session virtually.
