Nur Ezzati binti Abdul Hamid, Assistant Director, Manpower and Social Statistics Division The WGSDGI7 discussed, among others, the enhancement of ASEAN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Indicators focusing on the data availability and accuracy, the plan for producing the 2nd report of ASEAN SDG indicators in 2025, the result of mid-term review of WGSDGI work plan and self-assessment of Code of Practice (CoP) section B and C, and partnership between ASEAN Member States (AMS) in the context of ASEAN-Help-ASEAN Framework (AHAF). The objectives of the session were to introduce air quality issues from a gender perspective, provide a review of ongoing data collection work regarding air quality and air pollution, including methodologies for calculating the SDG indicator on deaths (SDG 3.9.1), and exchange knowledge as well as experiences regarding the production and use of data on air quality-related indicators from a gender perspective. The meeting also discussed the group’s Terms of Reference (TOR) and the work plan of the working group.
