The Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) and the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) formalised a renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a significant step forward in international statistical cooperation. YBhg. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mohd Uzir Mahidin, Chief Statistician of Malaysia, and H.E. Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, Director General of SESRIC, signed the MoU at SESRIC Headquarters in Ankara to deepen cooperation across the OIC region. The renewed MoU set a framework to strengthen statistical capacity, enhance National Statistical Systems (NSS), and support OIC priorities through knowledge sharing and data-driven decision-making.
