KEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Building Material Cost Index (BCI) (without steel bars and with steel bars) for almost all building categories in Peninsular Malaysia increased between 0.1 and 0.8 per cent.
  • The BCI in Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan and Tawau showed a decrease between 0.1 and 0.6 per cent, for almost all categories of building.
  • The BCI in Kuching, Sibu and Miri showed an increase between 0.1 and 0.8 per cent from the previous month for almost all categories of building.
