Producer Price Index Malaysia June 2021

The PPI local production which measures costs for goods at the factory gate, increased 11.5 per cent  year-on-year in June 2021, marking the fifth consecutive months it recorded an upward trend.

Consumer Price Index Malaysia June 2021

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased 3.4 per cent in June 2021 to 123.2 as against 119.1 in the same month of the preceding year.

Special Release 2 (For Building and Structural Works) June 2021

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Building Material Cost Index (BCI) (without steel bars & with steel bars) for almost all building categories in Peninsular Malaysia increased between 0.2 and 3.2 per cent.
  • The BCI in Sabah also showed an increase between 0.1 and 5.0 per cent for almost all building categories.
  • The BCI in Kuching showed an increase between 0.6 and 2.6 per cent for almost all categories of building. Meanwhile, the BCI in Sibu and Miri remained unchanged as in the previous month.
