Sales  value  of  Wholesale  &  Retail  Trade  recorded  RM130.7 billion  in  July  2022,  registered  a  growth  of  41.0 per cent year-on-year. The positive growth was contributed by  all  sub-sectors,  namely Motor  Vehicles   613.8  per cent,  Retail Trade 37.5 per cent; and Wholesale Trade  20.6 per cent.

In terms of volume index, Wholesale & Retail Trade registered a growth of   33.7 per cent year-on-year to record  142.5 points. The increment was supported by the increase of Motor Vehicles  681.6 per cent, Retail Trade  31.6 per cent; and Wholesale Trade  10.8 per cent. As for seasonally adjusted volume index, it went down  -1.4 per cent month-on-month in July 2022.
