Kawasanku

KAWASANKU is an initial initiative for the development of a new generation open data platform that contains data related to the findings of the Population and Housing Census of Malaysia 2020 (MyCensus 2020) together with other relevant data. This initiative is in line with the efforts of the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) to provide user-oriented, timely and quality statistical information and services.

The term KAWASANKU is used to refer to words that are meaningful to people to bring these statistics closer to the rakyat. Through the visualisation presentation in KAWASANKU Dashboard, that allows comparisons between areas to be made in a simple snapshot up to the Parliament and DUN level. There are four (4) main themes highlighted, which are geography, population, socioeconomics, and public facilities.
