Sales value of Wholesale & Retail Trade hit RM133.9 billion in November 2022, registering 13.9 per cent growth year-on-year. The increase in Wholesale & Retail Trade was attributed to Retail Trade sub-sector which rose  +RM10.9 billion or 22.8 per cent to record RM58.7 billion. Wholesale Trade expanded 5.6 per cent or +RM3.1 billion to RM59.5 billion. Within the same period, Motor Vehicles surged 17.2 per cent or +RM2.3 billion to RM15.7 billion. 

In terms of volume index, Wholesale & Retail Trade November 2022 registered a year-on-year growth of  9.7 per cent. The expansion was contributed by Motor Vehicles and Retail Trade which increased 8.3 per cent and 18.3 per cent, respectively. Similarly, Wholesale Trade also recorded a positive growth with  0.6 per cent. For seasonally adjusted volume index, it increased 1.1 per cent month-on-month.
