This seminar covered various aspects of the conceptual framework for measuring the digital economy, such as the distinctive characteristic of the digital economy, which is the intensive use of ICT by businesses to collect, store, process and transmit information. Currently, certain aspects of the digital economy can be measured based on the components or ‘building blocks’ of supply and demand. Statistical measurement instruments (surveys and other statistical operations) can cover these ‘blocks’ or conceptual areas.
